Your generous donations help UCM provide food, shelter (for rent and utilities) & clothing assistance to those in our community who do not have the financial resources to meet their basic needs due to an unforeseen financial emergency.

2024 Data

7,834 individuals (3,259 families) received food assistance. Of those, 2,132 were children and 1,305 were Senior Adults.

222,852 pounds of food were donated by other non-profits, individuals, schools, groups, businesses, churches, retail stores & Second Harvest of the Metrolinas (USDA).

$40,075.49 of rent assistance helped 82 families avoid the heartbreak of eviction and stay safe in their own homes.

$31,112.23 of utility assistance helped 172 families keep their lights on during tough times and the temperature in their homes comfortable during the change in seasons.

Over 123 individuals received coats, blankets, gloves, hats, scarves & socks.

Over 134 volunteers dedicated nearly 6,000 hours of service.

* Clients seeking financial assistance go through an extensive intake interview process. Checks for financial assistance are mailed to landlords and utility companies, not clients. *
